OnGuard Protection marked patrol ute on a night mobile patrol outside a NSW chemist

Operations · 2026-08-13

Static post or mobile patrol?

If the asset can walk out a gate, you usually need a body on that gate. If the risk is after hours and spread, you need a vehicle and a random pattern.

A static guard is a licensed person who stays. Construction compounds, loading docks, retail floors and residential desks are static jobs. The product is access control that still holds at 03:00.

A mobile patrol is a licensed run between sites. Lock checks, external walks, alarm attendance and a written run-sheet. OnGuard randomises timing so the pattern is not the product. The chemist-and-warehouse belt after midnight is classic patrol work.

Many high-value sites run both: a night static plus two randomised mobile checks. Ask for that combination if copper, plant or vehicles are the asset.
